My name is Sarah and I’m a photographer specializing in weddings, portraiture, and commercial photography.

I began photographing my friends and family with my parents' floppy-disk camera at the age of 12 and have been ceaselessly photographing ever since. Starting by using my family and close friends as subjects, this curiosity to create an honest portrait of someone continues to drive me. 

I use photography as a way to learn about people and places, always watching and observing for the perfect light or interaction.

Wedding photography fascinates me because it’s a blend of everything I love about being a photographer; weddings contain family bonds, connection, love, and chaos all wrapped up into one day.

In 2014 I earned my BFA in Photography & Film at Virginia Commonwealth University and use this fine art education as a foundation for the way I approach making photographs.

I am based in Richmond, VA and will happily travel all over.
