Emily + Matt

Emily and Matt are the sort of people who radiate kindness. They got married on a cool June day (a sub-95 degree day in the Virginia summer is a rarity!) at Third Church Presbyterian and held their reception on the lawn at the Veritas School in Richmond, VA. The entire day was a blast and yet peaceful, thanks to Emily’s calming presence and Matt’s fun-loving nature.

Their toasts included stories about when they first began dating. At the start of their relationship, Emily was injured in an accident and spent some time in the hospital. Even though they had barely been dating, Matt stepped in and cared for her during that time, and the rest was history.

One of my favorite moments was toward the end of the night watching Emily and Matt dancing to Billy Joel under the light of a full moon, surrounded by the joined arms of their friends and family. Enjoy some of my favorite images from their day!
